Mom and Dad can frequently be found sitting in the basement in side-by-side hardback chairs (beneficial to the back) watching old TV shows such as Gilligan's Island, the Original Star Trek, or Kung Fu. Franklin will be sprawled like an upturned spider in a cushiony chair, Nintendo controller in hand. When Mom and Dad sit down he knows it's only moments before he'll hear one of them say, "Volume off, please."
Franklin complies, but tonight he asks, "What is the point of this Kung Fu, anyway?"
Dad makes a noncommital grunt, but Mom asks, "What do you think it is?"
Frank is quick with his reply. "To bore people to death."
